Luke 9:28-36 The Transfiguration of Christ provides an opportunity for Jesus to address Peter's misunderstandings concerning the cross. Peter heard Jesus talk about his suffering and death, but didn't hear Jesus' message concerning his resurrection. The glorious transfiguration gives the Heavenly Father a chance to verify his plan for both the humiliation and exhaltation of Christ.
