Holy Communion This Sunday, March 7

Dear St. Paul's Congregation,

We continue on our journey to the Cross this Sunday, with a focus on Luke 13:1-9. The question of Human Tragedy comes up.

  • Was Pilate's massacre of some Galilean Zealots caused by their sin? Was the tower that fell down and killed 18 people a punishment for sin?
  • In our modern world, we wonder about earthquakes, hurricanes, shootings, terrorism. What is God's message in all of these events?

Hopefully, we will find some answers in Sunday's Sermon!

We are winding up a very successful Peacemaking Conference at St. Paul's this weekend. Neil Amiri will share a testimony about an important peacemaking event in his extended family.

Tom Clegg, our consultant with the Missional Transformation Network, will arrive on Sunday night, and meet with our church leaders on Monday and Tuesday. Please pray that these will be productive meetings in the life of our congregation.

The Newcomer's Class enters its fourth week. If you are a leader, or are interested in visiting to make our newcomer's feel welcome, feel free to visit this Sunday. The class meets in Room 204, on the top floor.

Finally, please prepare your hearts for communion. We have added a special communion time this Sunday as an opportunity for all of us to be strengthened in the body and blood of our Lord.

Grace and peace to you all!

Pastor Mark Friz
