Torah Scroll and Life Team in Worship on January 24

Dear St. Paul's Family,

This Sunday my sermon will be from Luke 4:14-30. Jesus goes to the synagogue in his home town, reads from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, and then sits down to preach.

We will be borrowing a Torah Scroll from the Beit Tefilah Messianic Congregation this Sunday to demonstrate what the scroll of the prophet Isaiah may have looked like when Jesus read in his hometown synagogue. I think it will help you understand some of the culture and customs of the day.

We will also dedicate our new Life Team this Sunday in both services. Please come and celebrate this new addition to the mission and ministry of St. Paul's.
