Community Programs
- Food Share is a program where members of the congregation and the community can purchase food each month, at greatly reduced cost. St. Paul’s is a host site for ordering and pickup. Menu options change monthly. Orders can be placed with the church office at 314-993-0015, or online at foodshareamerica.com. Please use the St. Paul’s site #4168 when ordering online.
- Meal-a-Month Program is an ecumenical gathering of food for the needy. St. Paul's has designated the second Sunday of each month for members to bring a bag of groceries for this ministry.
- Sandwich Ministry entails making sandwiches once a month and delivering them to the homeless at the New Life Evangelistic Center.
- Angel Tree Program provides Christmas presents for children of prisoners. Angel Tree assignments are distributed in November.
- International Students, Inc. (ISI) works with other churches to provide a monthly meeting /meal for international students and scholars where they can fellowship with other, learn English, and be presented with the Gospel. ISI provides necessities, support, and help adjusting to the USA.
- Life Team works to inform and engage the St. Paul's congregation about issues having to do with the sanctity of life - support the right to life for all people, and especially for the unborn and those who cannot defend themselves.
- Caregiver Support Group provides support for those who are currently dealing with the overwhelming task of caring for a loved-one. This group meets at 11:30 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Autumn V iew Gardens on Schuetz Road. Contact Ralph Hartke (314-993-2770) or JoAnn Moore (636-343-6286) for more information.
Local Ministries Supported by St. Paul's
- Bethany Christian Services is a full-service Christian adoption agency. They work with birth mothers who are in a crisis pregnancy situation. They provide ho using if needed during their pregnancy. The mothers receive counseling if they plan to place their child for adoption. Bethany helps teach the birth mothers parenting skills if they decide to parent the child and provide tutoring and/or occupational skills so parents may be self-supporting.
- Emmaus Homes are residential facilities for mentally and physically handicapped adults. They provide the residents with a home-type environment. They are taught to do chores and simple tasks. The residents also make crafts and other items, which are sold to help support the home.
- First Light Ministries is a ministry that helps people struggling with homosexuality find hope in Christ. This ministry is a new ministry that is operated in Webster Groves.
- The Salvation Army is one of the oldest missions in the United States. They provide help for families who have been affected by disasters of all kinds. In addition to spiritual guidance, they help people get back on their feet, back in society, and self-supporting. Toy Town is one of their Christmas projects to give toys to children 13 years of age and under and money vouchers for food per family. Many volunteers are needed to assist them in their mission. The Tree of Lights is their main money-raising project of the year.
- The Salvation Army – Adult Rehabilitation Center affords men the opportunity to regain their self-respect and acquire the life skills needed to take their rightful place in life. The program is designed for the mental, physical and spiritual rehabilitation of the person. The majority of men who come to the center for assistance are having problems in many areas of their lives, i.e., social, medical, spiritual, personal, and employment. The common factor for most of these persons is that of addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. These services are provided at no cost.
- The New Life Evangelistic Center is an inner-city mission. They provide food, shelter, clothing, the Word of God, and the Love of Christ to the homeless and low- income families of St Louis. They also have a TV station (Channel 24) which broadcasts "good" TV shows like early TV did. They are expanding their TV and radio ministries in the state of Missouri and Arkansas.
- Jubilee Community Church is an inner-city church in St. Louis that is reaching out to the neighborhood around the church with the love of Christ.
- Jubilee Community Development Corporation stands alongside Jubilee Community Church, an arm of empowerment for neighborhood interaction. So far, Jubilee’s commitment to its St. Louis community involves a drug and alcohol dependency program outreach, a jobs training and placement program, and a new housing effort.
- St. Louis Pregnancy Resource Center is devoted to the commission of providing the truth about God’s plan for each woman’s life, equipping them in parenting, meeting physical needs, and walking them through the painful journey of healing and forgiveness for past abortions when that is the case. They give women the tools, information, and liberty to make the decision for adoption and the truth about abstinence and the freedom it can bring to their lives.
- World Impact is in St. Louis to evangelize and disciple the unchurched urban poor for Christ through a combination of planting indigenous churches and supporting those churches through holistic ministries that demonstrate the Gospel. Evangelism is provided through Bible Clubs, Bible studies, worship services, tutoring, job training, and recreation.
