Music Ministries

Do you sing or play an instrument? Would you like to use your musical talents to worship God? If so, then St. Paul's is the place for you!  The following list tells a bit about the different opportunities we have at St. Paul’s. We would love to have you join us.

 

Vocal Music

Chorale (High School - Adult)

The Chorale, directed by Lois Percival, rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. You will often hear them sing on Sunday morning at the 8:30 a.m. service; they can also be heard in many of our special services. They sing a variety of vocal music - from Baroque to contemporary Christian.

 

Worship Team (High School - Adult)

St. Paul’s Worship Team leads the congregation in contemporary worship music at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday service. The team consists of both singers and various instrumentalists. They practice on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:40 a.m.

 

Youth Chorus (Grades 7 - High School)

The Youth Chorus (7th Grade through High School) is not meeting at this time.

 

Songsters (Grades 2 - 6)

Songsters (Grades 2nd thru 6th) meets every Thursday from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. You can hear them sing during worship services about once a month.

 

 

Instrumental Music

Praise Ringers (High School - Adult)

The Praise Ringers (Adult bell choir), directed by Lois Percival, meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The choir is comprised of 17 to 19 talented ringers and substitutes who share their joyful ringing at worship services every five to six weeks.

Youth Ringers (Grade 7 - High School)

The Youth Ringers (7th Grade thru High School), directed by Janet Rolle, practice bells on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. (before FOCUS).  They ring in worship services several times a year.

Young Ringers (Grade 2 - 6)

The Young Ringers (Grades 2nd thru 6th), directed by Janet Rolle, practice bells on Thursday evenings from 7:45 - 8:30 p.m. (after Songsters).  This group works on the fundamentals of reading music and playing bells. They ring in worship services several times a year.

Worship Team (High School - Adult)

St. Paul’s Worship Team, leads the congregation in contemporary worship music at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday service. This team consists of both singers and various instrumentalists. They practice on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:40 a.m.

St. Paul's Orchestra (High School - Adult)

The Orchestra, directed by Lois Percival, is a combination of instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels. They schedule rehearsals depending on when they are scheduled to perform. This group has played for some of our special services as well as for several summer worship services.
